  1.     The setting sun shining beneath a boiling smoke-colored ceiling 
  2. of a thunderhead gives a strange gilded lighting to these grazing 
  3. lands of New Zealand.  A bright-eyed young boy comes running through 
  4. the field. 
  5.     "Wendy, Wendy!" 
  6. A raven-hair maiden steps out onto the porch of the cottage, her 
  7. hair blowing in the wind before the oncoming storm. 
  8.     "Joey?" 
  9.     "Yes. . . . Are you Wendy?"

  11. Meanwhile, in a small mining community in Idaho; Roo-man, sweat 
  12. pouring down his face:

  14. any other program!"  Roo-man sat back on his haunches.  "Even in my

  16. way of doing this.  If calcprog becomes pointer allocated then it 
  17. acquires new VPA entries.  If at this point environmental allocation 
  18. fails then the new VPA entries must be destroyed.  All these special 
  19. cases!  I'm glad that I sent Joey off to New Zealand."
